1. Choosing a Locations:
Choose an outdoor location with full, direct sunlight where the Solar Address Light can receive at least 8 hours of sunlight each day. Shadowed locations will not allow the batteries to charge fully and will reduce the hours of lighting at night. The selected location should not be near night time light sources such as porch lights or street lights as these may fool the Solar Address Light to turn off automatically!
2. Attention for First Time Use:
Do not pull off the Tag Switch until the Solar Address Light is allowed to charge in full sunlight for 24 hours with the switch "OFF". This allows the rechargeable battery to reach maximum capacity. If the light does not turn on after 24 hours of charging, check the battery to ensure that it is making secure contact with the terminal. Be sure that the light is in a bright sunny location and not in a shady area.
3. Wintertime tips:
Keep snow and debris cleaned off the solar panels so the battery can be recharged. If it is going to snow, put back the Tag Switch to the OFF position. If the lights are covered with snow for an extended period of time, after the snow melts, allow all the battery to be recharged in full. Direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours for the battery to charge to their full capacity. The Solar Address Light depends on solar power, when the sunlight is not enough or the battery cannot be recharged fully. The light will be weaker, especially in Winter. But it's not an indication of quality problem.
